books I SAY

I love them. I love books. I love to be surrounded by them. Leave me alone in a library full of books I live my life there.

I bought a few new books for the hostel library today. There are lying in my room. I need to put them in tonight. I just don't want to let go of them. they are so beautiful. I thought I'll keep one of them. I can't decide which one!

I used to read loads of them back at school. Now, life and time don't permit. I don't think about them anymore. Now I suddenly feel it. I miss them. I miss them so much. i wish I had the time. Let's see. Hopefully I read all these before the sem ends.

Presently starting "Eleven Minutes" by Paulo Coelho. I loved his Alchemist. And Amrit's post said this one was decent. I hope I like it half as much as the earlier one.

  1. Noooo!
    Not Eleven Minutes.
    Please no.

Do NOT fall for the crap that Coelho writes! Agreed, His Alchemist was a beautiful book, i read it twice, I felt that my life changed after i read it etc etc.

But not Eleven Minutes. He has no idea what he's writing about.
And you cant even read it for the cheap thrills coz his sex scenes are baaad!
But no use in me screaming my head off, this is a realization that must come from within. An Epiphany of sorts - Paulo Coelho is a highly over rated, glorified self-help book writer.

Go ahead, read Eleven Minutes. noone's stopping you. It aint the worst book on earth. (His other works are whoraashhter than this) But it aint a good read either.

PS: Nothing personal, you trust Amrit's opinion on books? :P
